Accepting these terms
These terms cover your use of the B&S Big Spring Spray Foam Insulation website and any work you hire us to do at your home or building. When you use this site, ask us for an estimate or schedule a job, you agree to these terms, so please read them before you book.
If a written estimate or contract we give you for a specific job says something different from these terms, the written estimate or contract controls for that job.
What we do
B&S Big Spring Spray Foam Insulation is an insulation contractor in Big Spring, TX. We install spray foam, blown-in and other insulation, remove old insulation, air seal attics and put down vapor barriers in crawl spaces, for homes and commercial buildings in Big Spring, Midland and the cities around them. You can see the full list of services on our home page and read more about our crew on our About page.
What's on this website is general information about insulation and how we work. It isn't a quote and it isn't advice about your particular house, because every attic, wall and crawl space is different until we've seen it.
Estimates and pricing
We give free estimates at your property, with no obligation to hire us. Your estimate is based on what we can see and measure that day, including the size of the space, how much insulation is already up there, the material you choose and how hard the area is to reach.
Some things only show up once the job is open, such as wet or contaminated insulation that has to come out, droppings, damaged framing or wiring that isn't safe to cover. If we find something like that, we'll stop, show you and tell you what it changes before we do any added work, and we won't charge for extra work you haven't approved.
An estimate is good for the length of time written on it. After that, material prices can change and we may need to update it.
Scheduling, access and cancellation
We'll agree on a start date with you and do our best to keep it, but weather, material deliveries and problems on an earlier job can push a date back. If that happens, we'll let you know as soon as we can and set a new date with you.
You agree to give our crew safe access to the work area, including a clear path to the attic hatch, crawl space or walls we're working on, and to keep pets and children away from the work while we're there.
With spray foam, you and everyone in the house will need to stay out of the home until the re-entry time, which is the point when it's safe to come back inside. We'll tell you that time before the job starts, and you agree to follow it.
If you need to cancel or move your appointment, call us as early as you can. If you cancel after we've ordered material for your job, we may charge for material we can't return, as your estimate explains.
Payment
Your estimate or contract states the price, any deposit and when payment is due. Unless it says otherwise, the balance is due when the work is finished.
If a payment is late, we may charge reasonable collection costs and late charges as Texas law allows. Approved changes to the job are added to the final bill at the price we agreed on with you.
Our guarantee and what we don't promise
Satisfaction is guaranteed on every job. If something about our work isn't right, call us and we'll come out, look at it and make it right.
Insulation materials carry the maker's own warranty, and we'll pass along whatever the maker offers. We don't make any other promise, written or implied, beyond what's in your estimate or contract, as far as Texas law allows.
We can't promise a specific drop in your power bill or a specific temperature in a room, because those depend on things outside our work, such as your heating and cooling system, windows, thermostat habits and the weather.
Limits on our liability
We're licensed and fully insured, and we're responsible for damage our crew causes while doing the work. We aren't responsible for conditions that were already there before we started, such as roof leaks, hidden moisture, mold, pests, failing ductwork or old wiring, though we'll tell you about anything we notice.
As far as Texas law allows, we aren't liable for indirect losses such as lost income, hotel stays outside of agreed re-entry times or other costs that follow from a problem, and our total liability for any job is limited to the amount you paid us for that job.
Resolving a disagreement
If you're unhappy with anything, call us first, because most problems are settled fastest by talking it through and letting us come back out. If we can't settle it that way, we both agree to try mediation in Texas before going to court.
If a dispute still goes to court, it will be heard in the state courts of the county where the work was done.
Governing law
These terms, this website and any work we do for you are governed by the laws of the State of Texas.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time by posting a new version on this page. The terms in place when you sign your estimate or contract are the ones that apply to that job.
